I found that extremity of thoughts is not so much a matter of how different thoughts are from the norms. But more a matter of how honestly and unfiltered they are expressed.
In other words, if each one freely expressed his/her own, you’d see them all flying in different directions–never in the same.
We agree over silence, and over expressing ourselves ‘properly’, according to ‘norms’, and that’s the ‘normal’. But what if we actually talked? Then we could (just could) also understand each other, some time.
